100 TPC (One Hundred Thousand Poets for Change) in the North Country will include poets and musicians addressing social justice concerns and hopes for the coming year. 100 TPC is an annual event that takes place globally and has been held for the past 7 years in late September. For the past four years, Writers’ Night at the Effingham Public Library has echoed the message of peace, with poetry and music for change with a November edition in the north country of New Hampshire. Poets and musicians performing this year include Priscilla Burlingham, Ed Pacht, Arthur Surrette, Barbara Bald, Doug Hazard, Katherine Rhoda, Bob Moore and other performers. Featured readers and musicians will share their work between 7-8 PM. Following a short break there will be an open-mike opportunity for other poets, writers and musicians to share their work.
